A’s at Tigers todays match up of the day…
The Tigers who have been not exactly playing their best baseball as of late welcome the A’s to Detroit tonight for a 4 game series. The Tigers dropped 2 of 3 games to Tampa Bay and are looking to rebound by playing better baseball. Jordan Tata will take the mound for the Tigers tonight. Tata is 1-1 his one win being against these same A’s on July 30th. Tata’s era is 3.75 and this Texas native will look to give the Tigers a solid performance. As for the A’s they are fresh off a day of rest and from winning 2 of 3 games against the Rangers. Taking the mound tonight for the A’s is Joe Blanton. Blanton is 9-8 with a 3.71 era. Blanton gave up 5 earned runs against the Tigers on July 30th. So we have a rematch of the same starting pitchers in this one. The Tigers hope to get the same result as they look to get back on the winning track that they have been on for most of the season. Should be a good game tonight.
