Bonds hits 752 and 753

July 20, 2007 § 1 Comment

Barry Bonds belted home run number 752 and 753 this afternoon in Chicago against the Cubs. Bonds first homerun of the day came in the top of the 2nd inning and it was crushed out to right field and into Sheffield Avenue. Bonds is now just 2 homers away from tying Hank’s record. Bonds 2 homer game was his career 71st time of hitting 2 home runs putting him at number 2 on the all time list for most times hitting 2 homers in a game. Bonds is second to Ruth on that statistic. The Giants still lost today despite the effort of Bonds and the Cubs continue to look good. With Bonds being so close to the record now the question is if he is gonna sit the games agianst the Brewers and wait till the Giants return home for a series with Atlanta on Monday.

§ One Response to Bonds hits 752 and 753

  • Garrett says:

Really, the only homeruns that he should want to hit at home are 755 and 756, so I think they’ll play him until he gets to 754, then wait until they return to SF.
