Pence down!

July 22, 2007 § 1 Comment

The Houston Astros pull out a victory over the Pirates today but another Astros goes down. This time its rookie sensation Hunter Pence. Pence injured his wrist sliding into second base trying to break up a double play in the first inning. He would remain in the game till the 4th inning when he was in pain after his at bat. This is a big concern to Astros fans cause Pence has really brought a spark to the team even though the season isnt going very well. Pence has been huge at the plate for the Astros batting a hot .330.
He is expected back in the line up as early as monday but is currently listed day to day. Next up for the Astros is a home series against the Dodgers. It doesnt get any easier for the Astros.

Pence truly has been a sensation and being out for any length of time will be a huge loss for a team trying to get some consistency and rhythm on offense. (he’s also on my fantasy team so heal up Hunter…fast!)
